A. Intuit's software development Kit (SDK) for CA QuickBooks 2010 to 2012 has some bugs which should be considered. Items 1 and 2 are expected to be fixed by Intuit at at future date.

1. If you are using Units of Measure, you can't transfer Inventory.

2. (removed)

3. Sales Tax Codes on Accounts can't be transferred. If needed, these will have to be added manually. This can be done after all transfers have been made. Tax related Accounts are not transferred when Accounts are transferred and have to be entered manually.

4. Vendor Sales Tax Agency information cannot be transferred. Most if this information is automatically created by QuickBooks when you create a new file. However you should compare this information in the old and new files to make sure it's the same. This should be done after before transferring the list names (accounts, customers, items, vendors etc) using our Data Transfer Utility or QuickBooks IIF but before transferring data with the Beginning Balance Transfer Utility.

5. The Payroll item list can't be transferred. Most of these are automatically setup by QuickBooks. If any additional payroll items were created in the Source company they will have to re-recreated in the Destination company. This should be done before transferring the list names (accounts, customers, items, vendors etc) using our Data Transfer Utility or QuickBooks IIF.
